Who compiled the information on
QuaintPlaces.com?
Traveler and
photographer Steve Sloan and his wife, Kathy,
have collected the information on this Web site with help from other travelers who like charming destinations.
(If you have favorite spots that we have not yet included here, we hope you will
e-mail Steve to share your observations.) Our Web site is not affiliated with any chamber of commerce or other commercial or governmental
organization. We do provide phone numbers and links to informative commercial and governmental
sites that might be useful to you in planning trips. More
about Steve.
How current is the
information on QuaintPlaces.com?
Steve and Kathy have personally visited
many of these locations, but, of course, not all of them recently. They have
supplemented their own findings with extensive research. Site visitors
also send tips, which we try to verify. It is not possible to revisit every location frequently.
Towns and historic districts are continually changing, usually for the
better. So, we encourage you to call ahead and check the local web
sites before traveling any great distances to these locations. And, we
hope you will e-mail Steve if you find that any information is out of date.

can I contact Steve?

What
is QuaintCards(TM)?
Sales of
Steve's photographs and handmade products help to recoup the cost of maintaining
QuaintPlaces.com. We have placed numbers
on the photos you see on QuaintPlaces.com for ordering purposes. Steve makes
beautiful prints, greeting cards,
postcards, and
other products from these photos under our trade names QuaintCards(TM)
and RealPhotoCards(TM). Ordering information appears at the bottom
of each page of QuaintPlaces.com. Photos that do not have numbers are not for sale without permission
from other parties. Some of Steve's QuaintCards(TM)
as well as other fine products are
available at clearance prices in our eBay store: stores.ebay.com/QuaintCards
How
is QuaintPlaces.com funded?
In
addition to sales of photos and cards, we receive
nominal fees or commissions for some links and advertisements,
including the shopping advertisements. We try to select only those businesses whose products and services are
appropriate and helpful to site visitors. Some commercial services
have been recommended by other travelers. Commissions do not add to
the cost you pay for the products we advertise. These fees and
commissions partially recoup the operating cost of QuaintPlaces.com.
