QuaintPlaces in

The Rideau Canal Corridor,
Ontario

The historic Rideau Canal Waterway extends 126 miles (202 km) from the Ottawa River, in the north, to Lake Ontario in the south.  The canal has been restored and is well maintained.  You can hike, canoe, boat, or drive to the QuaintVillages along the canal.  Along this route you will find rivers, lakes, great scenery, 47 locks, and a towpath.  The QuaintVillages offer original arts and crafts, restaurants, bed and breakfast inns, museums, and other tourist amenities. We are developing pages for many of the QuaintPlaces along the canal, listed below from north to south.  Sources for general information about the canal corridor appear below this list.  You will enjoy this region of Ontario.
