OldeTownes

Asheville,
North Carolina

We
recommend two OldeTownes
in the city of Asheville, the downtown historic district and
Biltmore Village. You will encounter parking meters and/or parking garages
at both.
The
downtown historic district has several art galleries and
one-of-a-kind shops and cafes, all within walking distance of each
other. You will enjoy the public sculpture and architecture
here, as well.
Biltmore
Village is a shopping area at the entrance to Biltmore House.
You will enjoy the special shops here. But don't miss Biltmore
House itself. The largest private residence ever built
in the USA, it has 250 rooms. Almost 1 million people tour it each
year, and it has been used in several major motion pictures.
There
are several QuaintVillages outside
of Asheville. These are close enough to visit without changing
hotels. In fact, a week in the Asheville area would make a
nice vacation. |

Why
shop online?
Prices
and selection
are often better
from these Web
sites than in your
neighborhood stores. Many
of them offer
free packing and
shipping to
your
door or to your
gift recipient. So,
you can save
time, gas, and
money. Merchant
sites must
meet high security
standards to
advertise
on QuaintPlaces.com.
|
Did
you know?
When
you place an
order from these
merchants, they
contribute a small
commission to QuaintPlaces.com. These
commissions
do not increase
the cost of your
purchases. Only
purchases
made within a few
days
after
your
initial "click" to
their sites generate
commissions for us.
(Please do not delete your cookies.)
These
commissions, plus sales of our
own photos and cards, are
necessary
to help defray the
cost of maintaining QuaintPlaces.com,
which currently
operates at a loss.
Your
purchases will
help us provide
more
information
and photos about
quaint places.
