This
small hamlet near Hagerstown and the
old National Pike is particularly quaint and scenic. The
garden shop/gift shop is top notch and well known to locals.
Doubs Mill and several other old stone structures are currently
residences. The Coopers Shed, beside the mill is a nice little
shop with quilts, pottery, etc. Beaver Creek was founded by
Doubs, who later founded Funkstown, and the influence of the early
German settlers is still evident here. |
