HistoricTown)
This
former railroad town refers to itself as the "headquarters for
the story of immigrant experience and small-town life." In
other words there are some interesting museums and a historic hotel
here, and several other historic attractions in the vicinity.
But you will also find a couple of nice shops in town. If
you are not a history buff, Perry is near Des Moines, and there is
plenty to do and see. Visit the arboretum, the state park, or
the places where the movie "The Bridges of Madison County"
was made. |
