Sanford,
Florida
(a
QuaintVIllage)
|
Sanford's old downtown shopping area is only about 4 blocks long and 2 blocks wide
with Magnolia Square in the center. Although
it is small, there are many nice shops here. Parking is free.
The new Riverwalk and the B&Bs are within walking distance.
The construction
of I-4, 4 miles from town, moved the traffic and big businesses away
from the old downtown, leaving it quiet and quaint. As is the case for many historic districts, the downtown folks are not getting the political
attention they need to complete their restoration quickly. None-the-less, we
recommend a visit, especially if you are looking for antiques.

Why
shop online?
Prices
and selection
are often better
from these Web
sites than in your
neighborhood stores. Many
of them offer
free packing and
shipping to
your
door or to your
gift recipient. So,
you can save
time, gas, and
money. Merchant
sites must
meet high security
standards to
advertise
on QuaintPlaces.com.

Did
you know?
When
you place an

do not increase
the cost of your

purchases
made within a few
days
after
your

commissions for us.
(Please do not delete your cookies.)
These
commissions, plus sales of our
own photos and cards, are
necessary
to help defray the
cost of maintaining QuaintPlaces.com,
which currently
operates at a loss.
Your
purchases will
help us provide
more
