Vail,
Colorado
(QuaintVillages)
This
scenic mountain resort area is a year-round tourist/vacation
destination with all of the amenities. Vail has
first-class outdoor sports, winter and summer. In Vail Valley you
will find an 8-mile
string of upscale pedestrian villages such as Beaver Creek,
Bachelor Gulch, and Arrowhead. These
villages are big on the arts, fine food, and fun.
This
is the largest, and considered the best, snow ski area in the
USA. Snow season starts mid-November and ends
mid-April. Vail attracts the rich and famous. Most of
the resorts, hotels, and restaurants here are expensive.
Plan to park your vehicle and ride free shuttle buses from
village to village.
This
was home of the western Whitehouse
during Gerald Ford's presidency. Vail hasn't much history prior
to 1952 when the first resort opened.

Why
shop online?
Prices
and selection
are often better
from these Web
sites than in your
neighborhood stores. Many
of them offer
free packing and
shipping to
your
door or to your
gift recipient. So,
you can save
time, gas, and
money. Merchant
sites must
meet high security
standards to
advertise
on QuaintPlaces.com.

Did
you know?
When
you place an
order from these
merchants, they
contribute a small
commission to QuaintPlaces.com. These
commissions
do not increase
the cost of your
purchases. Only
purchases
made within a few
days
after
your
initial "click" to
their sites generate
commissions for us.
(Please do not delete your cookies.)
These
commissions, plus sales of our
own photos and cards, are
necessary
to help defray the
cost of maintaining QuaintPlaces.com,
which currently
operates at a loss.
Your
purchases will
help us provide
more
information
and photos about
quaint places.
