Angels Camp, California
(a
QuaintVillage)
|
Angels Camp (1848) is one of several
small tourist towns along historic California Route 49. It was a gold rush town and is
the site of the annual jumping frog contest as told by Mark Twain. The contest
is actually held and plaques in the sidewalk honor winners. You will probably
want to visit Angels Camp and nearby Jamestown on the
same day. |

are often better
from these Web
sites than in your
neighborhood stores. Many
of them offer
free packing and
shipping to

you can save
time, gas, and
money. Merchant
sites must
meet high security
standards to
advertise
on QuaintPlaces.com.

Did
you know?
When
you place an
order from these
merchants, they
contribute a small
commission to QuaintPlaces.com. These
commissions
do not increase
the cost of your

purchases
made within a few
days
after
your
initial "click" to
their sites generate
commissions for us.
(Please do not delete your cookies.)
These
commissions, plus sales of our
own photos and cards, are
necessary
to help defray the
cost of maintaining QuaintPlaces.com,
which currently
operates at a loss.
Your
purchases will
help us provide
more
information
and photos about
quaint places.
