QuaintPlaces
in and around
Anchorage,
Alaska
|
The
scenic city of Anchorage is tucked between the Chugach Mountains and
Cook Inlet. It is Alaska's largest city (over 250,000), but is not
large by USA standards. Anchorage is laced with bicycle trails and offers many
quaint, charming, and interesting places to
visit. It is also a good place to watch birds, wildlife, and the
aurora borealis (northern lights).
Anchorage
is a good home base for several days of sightseeing. There
is no single concentrated tourist area. Public transportation
is adequate for the QuaintPlaces
in the city, but you will want to drive to the QuaintVillages,
resorts, and natural attractions outside the city.

Why
shop online?
Prices
and selection
are often better
from these Web
sites than in your
neighborhood stores. Many
of them offer
free packing and
shipping to
your
door or to your
gift recipient. So,
you can save
time, gas, and
money. Merchant
sites must
meet high security
standards to
advertise
on QuaintPlaces.com.

you know?
When
you place an

do not increase
the cost of your

purchases
made within a few
days
after
your

commissions for us.
(Please do not delete your cookies.)
These
commissions, plus sales of our
own photos and cards, are
necessary
to help defray the
cost of maintaining QuaintPlaces.com,
which currently
operates at a loss.
Your
