We consider pop-up ads and banner ads to be annoying, and do not permit them on QuaintPlaces.com.

As a service to travelers, we place links to non-commercial Web sites on our pages where we believe they will be helpful.  After we have decided to include a destination and we have determined what features to recommend to site visitors, we then accept requests to add links to Web sites owned by businesses and commercial organizations located in or near that destination. We also accept requests to place links to Web sites offering products and services that may be generally useful to travelers.  If we find a requested Web site to be suitable, we collect a nominal fee, enter into a commission agreement, or arrange a link swap.  Request link  

Advertising graphics

In keeping with our mission to provide concise and balanced information to travelers of all ages, we keep advertising graphics small and unobtrusive on our destination pages. We provide links to separate advertisement pages when needed.  Ads for world-wide services, such as artists and galleries are accessible from the home page and other general-interest pages.  Ads for local services, such as inns and restaurants are accessible from the appropriate destination pages.  Advertising in QuaintPlaces.com is limited to wholesome products, services, and events that we believe are useful to our site visitors.  Sample ad  For the current rate and other information, please go to Request advertisement

Influence on content

Businesses and organizations do not influence the informational content of our pages.  Their suggestions carry the same weight as suggestions from other site visitors, and any information they provide about a destination is independently verified before it is included on QuaintPlaces.com.

How many potential customers visit QuaintPlaces.com?

We are still developing QuaintPlaces.com.  We will soon begin promoting the site on search engines.  Thousands of people already visit QuaintPlaces.com each week.  Many of them find us by typing one of our other URLs into their browser.
